Garage Gypsy Jewelry

Hello there! Welcome to my bohemian world where the breeze is cool, the sky is pink, and everyone is unique. Garage Gypsy is a line of jewelry that is far from traditional as it incorporates strummed guitar string, vintage car keys, clock gears, feathers paired with soft pearls and delicate copper chains. Each piece is crafted by hand with love morphing it into a piece of art. If you understand the lack of character and personality (not) found in mass produced products and you desire things that scream of originality & personality- then you’ve come to the right spot. You may love it, you may hate it, but as long as I have sparked an emotion of some sort, then I’m serving my purpose to inspire.

Where dreams begin..

Here are my new pillows I made out of old t-shirt. I love to recycle my old clothing by using the fabric to make something new!

TWO TIN CANS (my new blog)

Blogspot I love you, but I think I'm in love with Tumblr.  I discovered blogging via tumblr not to long ago, and I have to say it is super user friendly not to mention visually clean, organized, and stimulating.  I will continue to blog here, but for mad visual inspiration check out my Two Tin Cans blog. mac.n.cheese spin.off

Kraft. eat your heart out.  This is pretty basic, but also a lot healthier then your average box of mac n cheese.

BARLEY MAC 'N CHEESE

1/4 c. barley uncooked
1/2 white onion, chopped or sliced
1/2 tomato, diced
1 oz sharp cheddar, shredded
1 oz fresh parmesan, shredded
dash of the following [to flavor]
pepper
allspice
paprika
cumin

Directions:
#1 bring at least 1 c of water to boil, add barley and cook until tender [up to 30m.] but not until fully cooked.
#2 add onion and tomato, reduce heat, cook for another 15 min.
#3 drain any additional water in pan.
#4 add spices and cheese.
#5 stir and serve.

Feed the body.

Its time to get back on the health track.  Popsicles, ice cream, frozen yogurt, you name it-all these summer treats are my biggest weakness.  So to make up for it, in some degree I made steamed veggies [broccoli, pumpkin, onions, and mushrooms] and black beans with fresh Parmesan cheese & ground pepper! Simple, fast, healthy- and yes it was yummy.

TENNIS SUMMER RUSH

So my mom and brother got a little time out on the courts during their stay with me.  And since I'm rackettless myself, I kept myself occupied with my camera.

and of course the old russian men playing cards in the park! (welcome to plummer park)

and the little squirrel found dancing in the tree..

Summer, by far, is my absolutely favorite season.  I love the heat. Especially, when your living in California.  You get all the sun and all the hot weather without that dreadful humidity.  When you have frizzy hair like me, if you spend an hour straitening your hair just trying to make it look pretty, its nice to be able to step outside and not grow a frizz fro!  Sadly August will be coming to an end before we know it, and so will the hot weather.

Obsessions for Inspiration

There is something about the brilliant color turquoise that gets my heart racing.  I love how it pops when combined with something of wood.  I'm such a sucker for plush worn leather and bright colors!  Hopefully, they will pop a little inspiration into your day!  All images found at Design Addict, and I believe are available for purchase!
