collared.

This past christmas, when I travelled back home, I embarked on a little fashion accessory project.. involving men's dress shirt collars.  It's super simple, but here's how.

San Francisco, you steal my heart away.

A little photo montage to take you though my road trip to San Francisco!! Regardless of it ups and downs it was a fun trip.  And like always, a little part of my heart feels as though it was left behind in this amazing city.  Sit back, relax, LA--> SF here we come! Hope you enjoy..
I don't know that I suggest my driving style, it doesn't appear to be the safest..  :)
Pit stop..
I'm not all that into tourist havens like Carmel.. So I made my rounds then waited at the car.

the working space.

this is.. my desk & design/work station #1 in my studio..
My project of the day..
 Drill.
Screw.
The back is a little sloppy form some old double stick tape.
And this what happens when the nails you have on hand are too long for the job.  A little ghetto, but it works.
The front.
and.. TUH DAH!
Finally, a place to hang all my extra chain so I can SEE it.

Then there is work space #2...
And work space #3. Its a litttttle chaotic, I know.  I'm constantly picking up after my crazy self, and clearly haven't made it this way yet.
And here's a bunch of random shots :)

I'm always jotting down random thoughts about my business motto, and well, life in general.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

foreign films and fashion.

Uschi Obermaier

Lately, I've been immersing myself in an array of foreign films (mainly French) while working in my studio.  I would love to speak French, and when I studied, the hardest thing was learning the tongue.  So, I figure if I'm more immersed in it, maybe it will be easier to pick up.  Of course I have no idea what's really being said because of my poor movie-watching skills when working, but I figure just listening can't hurt.

Last week I watched Eight Miles High (Das Wilde Leben).  I wouldn't say it was the greatest movie by any means, but I loved the style.

Achim Bornhak's film about the famous German model/muse Uschi Obermaier.  An icon of the 1968 movement in Germany and a rock and roll vixen with a gorgeous head of hair. Known for seducing men like Mick Jagger and Keith Richards; she travels the world wearing the most beautiful clothes or sometimes none at all, and dances like an ethereal goddess of music.

Obsessions for Inspiration

There is something about the brilliant color turquoise that gets my heart racing.  I love how it pops when combined with something of wood.  I'm such a sucker for plush worn leather and bright colors!  Hopefully, they will pop a little inspiration into your day!  All images found at Design Addict, and I believe are available for purchase!
